The Olympics

I would like to focus my next few posts on the Olympics.
As most guys know, the original Olympics held in Greece were held in the nude.
Greek men, both athletes and warriors were very proud of their bodies and their talents. They showed them off every chance they got.
Practicing and training for the Olympics and for battle strength not only their bodies, but their minds and spirits too.
They worshiped their Gods and crafted their bodies and their skills to please the Gods.
It was common to see Greek men in the nude rather they were working or they were playing. Other Greek men would praise them and made them heroes.
Greek athletes and warriors made their living with their bodies. Some by work, some by sports, some by sex.
I’ve done some deep studies on this subject and would like to share some of it with you. I will post the websites these facts come from so that the big ‘G’ will not direct unwanted readers to my blog.
It is written that the first Olympics involved mostly running.
In one race, one of the favored athlete’s jock strap covering of his crotch fell down and tripped him. Therefore he lost the race.
After that, the other athletes that were there removed anything they were wearing and competed in the nude.

A magistrate passed a law requiring all participates to compete in the nude.
The tradition fallowed.
The early Olympic Games consisted of many sports that have lasted till our own times.
Running, long jump, discus and javelin throwing, chariot racing, wrestling, boxing and more Man to Man contact sports.
It was a festival of physical attainment during which athletes risked and sometimes lost their lives.

Oil was a wonderful part of the early Olympic Games.
A jug of Olive Oil would be part of each athlete’s possessions. They would rub each other down with the oil from head to toe before training or public competition.
This alone would increase their hormones and add to the competitive atmosphere.
No perfume would be sweeter than good olive oil and man sweat.
Some writers think the oil was used to cover up the athlete’s hunter’s scent for his prey.

There was one game named Pankration. It was a brutal, all-in athletic event combining aspects of wrestling and boxing. Kicking and strangling was permitted, but no eye gouging. It was known as the most popular event at the early Olympic Games. Men could grab and twist any body part shoving their fist anywhere possible. Wherever a fist or a knee found itself was fair game.
Boxing, the most lethal sport of the Olympics being a part of ‘Pankration’ brought in huge crowds of men to watch. The Greek athletes would wrap their fist in leather thongs and pummeled one another until either one surrendered or died.

The male to male body contact in many of the sports promoted intense intimacy.
