This will probably sound like a lie, but I swear it's not... I've never been able to wear an off-the-rack jockstrap. This isn't an issue, my mother taught all of her sons to sew, so I can easily cut out the pouch and sew in a new one. The problem is that I have never found a cup that actually keeps all the goods inside. I've never been able to join a football league, because I can't wear the required gear.
